We specialise in high-quality domestic works including refurbishments, planned and reactive maintenance, and property upgrades. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing team.
Job Overview
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading the Company's procurement function, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and specialist services required to support property maintenance operations. The role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier and contractor relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and working closely with operational teams to ensure the efficient delivery of maintenance services while achieving value for money and supporting the Company's business objectives.
Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support the Company's operational and commercial objectives.
- Lead the sourcing, procurement, and supply of maintenance materials, building supplies, tools, equipment, spare parts, and specialist services.
- Identify, evaluate, appoint, and manage suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, and service providers to ensure quality, reliability, and value for money.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, service agreements, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve commercially advantageous outcomes.
- Build, maintain, and review supplier relationships through regular performance evaluations and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient, transparent, and compliant purchasing activities.
- Work closely with management and maintenance teams to identify operational requirements and forecast material, equipment, and service needs.
- Visit maintenance sites, supplier premises, and warehouses to assess procurement requirements, monitor supplier performance, and ensure operational needs are met.
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including supplier selection, quotations, purchase orders, contract administration, delivery monitoring, and supplier performance management.
- Monitor market trends, product availability, pricing, and supply chain risks to ensure continuity of supply and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure goods and services are delivered in accordance with agreed specifications, quality standards, budgets, and timescales.
- Prepare procurement budgets, expenditure forecasts, spend analyses, and management reports to support informed business decisions.
- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives and continuous improvement measures to enhance procurement efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supplier performance.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Company policies, contractual obligations, health and safety requirements, relevant legislation, and ethical procurement standards.
- Evaluate procurement performance through supplier KPIs, spend analysis, and market benchmarking, making recommendations to improve operational efficiency and commercial performance.
- Provide leadership for the procurement function and supervise procurement personnel as the Company's procurement activities expand.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required by the Company that are consistent with the responsibilities and seniority of the role.
Experience
- Proven experience in procurement management within a fast-paced environment, with a strong understanding of supply chain operations
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable contractual terms
- Knowledge of logistics management, inventory control, and supply chain optimization techniques
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from ERP systems for strategic decision-making
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and build productive supplier relationships
- Prior experience in managing procurement teams or leading cross-functional projects is a plus
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong experience in supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and commercial procurement.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple procurement activities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and familiar with procurement or ERP systems.
- Must have the right to work in the UK or be eligible under the Skilled Worker visa route.
Pay: £55,000.00 per year
