Job Summary
Pay rate: based on the experience £15.50/h with progression to £18/h
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques and fabrication processes will contribute to the creation of high-quality products that meet strict safety and quality standards. Duties
- Perform MIG welding to join metal parts accurately according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively during fabrication and assembly processes.
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal components for various projects using dedicated jig.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise fabrication.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in the development of fabrication processes and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, particularly MIG welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes involving sheet metal and metal assembly.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding, fabrication, and the use of power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working with technical drawings or schematics is preferred but not mandatory.
