Job Summary
Lyriq Healthcare is recruiting a 1:1 Waking Night Support Worker for a newly established supported living placement in Mansfield, supporting a young adult male service user (20) with a learning disability. This is a dedicated waking night role — you’ll need to remain awake and alert throughout the shift to provide overnight support.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing dedicated 1:1 waking night support, 10pm–7am
- Supporting with overnight personal care and reassurance as needed
- Monitoring wellbeing and responding promptly to any needs during the night
- Supporting a calm bedtime and morning routine
- Completing accurate overnight records and handovers for the day team
- Following all Lyriq policies, including safeguarding, lone working, and medicines management
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities (essential)
- Ability to stay alert and responsive throughout waking night shifts
- Calm, patient, and person-centred approach
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
- Care Certificate or equivalent qualification (desirable, not essential — full training provided)
- Reliable and comfortable working independently overnight
- Right to work in the UK
