Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House/Bar team member to join our team on a part-time basis. Offering 4 set shifts per week.
This role involves providing exceptional guest service, preparing and serving food and beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly and seat them promptly, ensuring excellent guest service throughout their visit
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in a timely manner
- Open and close the pub on shift.
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining genuine customer engagement
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system and provide correct change
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, bar counters, and service stations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety procedures
- Support bar operations by preparing drinks and managing stock levels efficiently
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
- Manage guest requests or complaints professionally, aiming for maximum guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is essential as you will be required to open or close the pub.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with team and customers.
- Experience in serving or bar work and proactive attitude with good time management skills to ensure efficient service.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings and weekends is required.
