Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing materials handling, operating forklifts safely, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure smooth and timely processing of shipments. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility
- Assist with materials handling tasks, including stacking, sorting, and organizing inventory
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage
- Perform lifting tasks safely to move goods as required throughout the warehouse
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards and operational procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling and shipping & receiving processes
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems or similar software for inventory tracking
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately
- Ability to perform lifting regularly while maintaining safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive attitude towards safety and efficiency
