Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of automotive issues. This role requires hands-on experience with automotive systems and components, as well as a commitment to providing high-quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Fabricate parts or components when necessary to ensure proper vehicle functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
- Experience with equipment repair and the ability to perform heavy lifting when required.
- Familiarity with electrical systems in vehicles, including soldering skills for wiring repairs.
- Capability to operate a forklift safely when moving heavy parts or equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
