Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, ensuring vehicles meet required roadworthiness criteria. Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in compliance with DVSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicle components including brakes, lights, tyres, suspension, and exhaust systems.
- Identify and diagnose faults or potential issues during the testing process.
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist with minor repairs or adjustments if required, adhering to safety procedures.
- Maintain the MOT bay area in a clean, organised, and safe condition at all times.
- Keep up-to-date with current MOT testing regulations and technical developments within the automotive industry.

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.

- Relevant MOT testing certification or qualification is essential; previous experience as an MOT tester is highly desirable.
