Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all bar and restaurant activities, ensuring smooth operation throughout the shift.
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to team members including serving staff and baristas
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage in accordance with food safety regulations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, including food safety standards
- Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality service, fostering a positive team environment
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Organise promotional events or special offers to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in line with hygiene standards
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality setting, ideally in bars or restaurants
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and storage
- Experience in culinary arts or food production is highly desirable
- Background in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous
- Previous experience as a barista or in serving roles is beneficial
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service
