Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Head Cleaner to lead our cleaning team and ensure our facilities maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations, coordinate cleaning schedules, and uphold safety protocols to create a welcoming and spotless environment for staff and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and thoroughly
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules that align with operational needs and safety standards
- Perform quality checks to verify that cleaning standards are consistently met or exceeded
- Train new team members on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper maintenance
- Enforce health and safety regulations to create a safe working environment for all staff
- Collaborate with management to address cleaning concerns, improve processes, and ensure compliance with environmental standards
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles, demonstrating knowledge of industry best practices
- Previous leadership experience in managing a cleaning or custodial team is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly and motivate team members to achieve high standards of cleanliness
