About the role
We are looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team and help maintain a clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents.
This is an important role within our nursing home. The standard of cleanliness you help maintain has a direct impact on residents’ comfort, dignity, wellbeing and safety.
You will take pride in creating an environment that feels homely while maintaining consistently high standards of hygiene across residents’ bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and other parts of the home.
Working as part of a team, you will follow established cleaning routines and rotas while responding positively to the individual needs of our residents.
What success looks like
In this role, your success will be measured by the outcomes you achieve:
- Residents experience a clean and comfortable home – bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and communal areas are consistently maintained to the required standard.
- The environment is safe and hygienic – cleaning procedures, hygiene requirements and Health & Safety standards are followed at all times.
- Residents feel respected and valued – you are warm, friendly, polite and considerate in every interaction.
- Problems are identified promptly – maintenance defects, hazards, damaged equipment and other concerns are reported without delay.
- The team works effectively together – you communicate well, follow instructions and support colleagues when priorities change.
- The home maintains a welcoming atmosphere – your work contributes to residents feeling comfortable, secure and proud of their surroundings.
About you

You will have:

Previous experience in a domestic, housekeeping, cleaning, hotel, care or healthcare environment would be beneficial, but we are equally interested in people who have the right attitude, work ethic and commitment to providing a high standard of service.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
