Role Purpose
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and professional Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred care across a range of care settings, including residential and nursing homes, supported living services and community/home-care environments.
You will support individuals to maintain their dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing while delivering care in accordance with individual care plans and the requirements of each placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
- Support individuals with mobility, transfers and manual handling, using appropriate equipment where required.
- Assist with food, fluids, meal preparation and nutritional needs.
- Support or administer medication where trained, authorised and required by the care plan.
- Follow individual care plans and provide person-centred support.
- Monitor individuals' physical and emotional wellbeing and report changes or concerns promptly.
- Provide companionship, reassurance and meaningful engagement.
- Support activities, appointments and community participation where appropriate.
- Promote independence, dignity, privacy, choice and respect.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, call bells and changes in an individual's condition.
- Complete accurate care notes, electronic records and other required documentation.
- Assist with light domestic duties, shopping and prescription collection where required.
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and confidentiality procedures.
- Work effectively with colleagues, senior carers, nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Person Specification
Essential

- Good organisation and ability to prioritise tasks.
- Basic IT skills for electronic care records.
- Flexible approach to shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays where required.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to complete all required training and compliance checks.
Driving
A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle is required for domiciliary/community care assignments where travelling between service users is necessary.
Driving may not be required for some residential or care-home placements.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or similar.
- Care Certificate and/or relevant health and social care qualification.
- Experience supporting older people or individuals living with dementia.
- Experience with medication, moving and handling and electronic care-record systems.
Previous care experience may not be essential for suitable candidates where appropriate training can be provided.

Entry Level – £12.71 per hour
NVQ Level 2 completed – £12.96 per hour
NVQ Level 3 completed – £13.21 per hour
All assignments are subject to the agency's recruitment, referencing, DBS, training and compliance requirements.
