DNS Accountants (Pinksalt) is a well-established accountancy and business advisory practice providing accounting, taxation, payroll, bookkeeping, compliance, and strategic business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of UK businesses. We are seeking an experienced Chartered Accountant to join our growing team and support our expanding client base.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing professional accounting and taxation services, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and tax regulations, and delivering strategic financial advice to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards.
- Prepare and review corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, and partnership tax returns.
- Manage a portfolio of SME clients across various sectors.
- Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports.
- Provide accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to clients.
- Advise clients on tax planning, financial management, and business performance.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and statutory filing requirements.
- Liaise directly with HMRC, Companies House, and other regulatory bodies where required.
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Review bookkeeping and VAT returns prepared by junior team members.
- Assist with year-end financial reporting and compliance matters.
- Conduct financial analysis and identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional professional service.
- Keep up to date with developments in UK accounting, taxation, and financial reporting standards.
Essential Requirements
- FCCA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification.
- Minimum 8 years' professional accounting experience.
- Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice environment.
- Extensive knowledge of UK accounting standards, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Strong client relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple client assignments and deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience managing a client portfolio.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff.
- Knowledge of cloud accounting platforms including Xero, QuickBooks, Nomi, and similar systems.
