Care & Support Workers – Waking Nights
Average of 3 nights per week

£13.05 per hour
*£80 per sleep in (*if applicable)
*Additional hours may be available on a cover basis and include some weekend work
We are seeking a caring, reliable and proactive person to join our friendly team in the Plymouth area.
This role will predominately involve supporting an Autistic gentleman, living in his own home in Plymouth, in addition to providing cover with 2 other individuals we support in the local area with overnight support needs.
Currently, we are primarily seeking Waking Night staff, covering an average of 3 nights per week (this will mainly be between 9pm and 8am, but hours may vary to meet specific needs). The role may also include sleep in duties depending on the needs of the individual. Additional daytime cover may also be available in addition to the waking nights.
Ideally, you will have experience and knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, however, we don’t believe that experience is everything, so if you have a positive attitude, a natural ability to get along with others and a desire to assist people to live their best life, we’d love to hear from you!
Waking Night duties will include:
-Providing responsive and person centred physical and emotional support to the person as and when required
-Providing personal care assistance as required / directed in the person’s Support Plan
-Encouraging regular sleep patterns or night activities in accordance with the person’s care and Support Plan
-Ensuring medical needs are met as required
- Ensuring the safety of the person supported by providing supervision, support and intervention as required and as directed in the support plan
- Completing household tasks as set out in the Support Plan / Daily Operational File
- Completing nightly report forms and other documentation as directed
