Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Industrial Door Fitter’s Mate to join our team. This role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial doors across various sites. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced fitters, gaining valuable skills in installation processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career within the construction and industrial sectors, with on-the-job training provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial doors.
- Support senior fitters.
- Handle and operate hand tools, power tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with lifting and manoeuvring components during installation or repairs.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in installation, servicing, repairing, welding, electrical work, is advantageous but not essential; willingness to learn is key.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools preferred.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- A valid UK driving licence is mandatory.
Role will be based in Leek but travel across the UK as necessary.
Competitive salary is available for the right candidate.
Usual hours of work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (overtime may be required).
Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
