Trust-Care is currently recruiting dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Project Workers to support vulnerable adults across East Ayrshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health challenges, helping them develop independence, improve their wellbeing, and achieve positive outcomes.
Successful candidates will provide person-centred support within supported accommodation and community-based services, empowering individuals to build confidence and move towards more independent living.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals living in temporary accommodation to develop the skills needed to successfully manage and sustain their own tenancy.
- Assist service users with arranging, attending, and engaging in appointments with healthcare professionals, support services, and other agencies.
- Encourage and support participation in community activities, social events, education, training, and positive lifestyle opportunities.
- Build positive, professional relationships and act as a role model for the people you support.
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion through tailored support plans.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to a safe and supportive environment.
Shift Patterns
- Backshift Shifts available.
- Sleepover Night Shifts available, providing overnight presence and support when required.
Requirements
- A minimum of six months’ experience in Health & Social Care or a similar support role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to engage and connect positively with vulnerable individuals.
- Strong listening skills, empathy, and a person-centred approach to support.
- A genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
