Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and a genuine love for coffee and customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, ensuring food safety standards, and providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks and teas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and serving.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent guest services, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Handle cash transactions with basic math skills for accurate billing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks while maintaining high service standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and kitchen experience is advantageous.
- Culinary experience is a plus, especially in beverage preparation.
