Mobile Electrical Engineer

Location: Leven, Fife (KY8 4PT) - plus regional travel

We are seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer to provide electrical and building services engineering maintenance across a variety of client properties within the designated region.
The successful candidate will carry out fault finding, repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and installation work, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently.
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and customer-focused engineer with experience in commercial building services or facilities management environments.
This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, strong fault-finding capabilities and a commitment to delivering excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and building services maintenance across a portfolio of client properties.
- Undertake electrical fault finding, repairs, installations and maintenance activities.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works within agreed timeframes.
- Ensure customer expectations are consistently met or exceeded through high-quality service delivery.
- Support wider building services maintenance activities, including fabric, HVAC and mechanical tasks.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide callout response when required.
- Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring contractor performance and workmanship.
- Issue and manage Permits to Work in accordance with site and client requirements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
- Experience working within facilities management or building services environments, ideally across commercial properties.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
- NVQ 2356 / 2357 and NVQ 2356 AM2
- OR
- City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation and AM1 & AM2
OR
- City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2
AND
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Company vehicle (ISS van) provided.
- Mobile role covering a varied portfolio of commercial properties.
