Job Description
As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicle damage and producing high-quality repair estimates, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating accurate repair assessments and estimates right first time.
- Assessing a wide range of damaged vehicles.
- Producing accurate estimates using Audatex.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of Audatex and repair methods research.
- Developing and maintaining an excellent knowledge and understanding of insurer and customer contracts.
- Liaising professionally and effectively with customers, insurance engineers and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring estimates accurately reflect the required repair methodology and manufacturer guidelines.
- Working proactively to identify opportunities to improve internal processes and efficiencies.
- Supporting the wider bodyshop team to ensure vehicles progress through the repair process efficiently.
- Keeping up to date with developments in vehicle technology, repair methods and industry standards.
What Impact Repair Centre is Looking For
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and organised individual who can work effectively within a busy bodyshop environment.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous VDA / Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator experience.
- Be organised and demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
- Have a good working knowledge of Audatex and repair methods research.
- Have a strong understanding of vehicle repair methods and damage assessment.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be confident communicating with customers, insurance engineers and other stakeholders.
- Be adaptable and committed to following good working practices.
- Have a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Work well as part of a team while also being able to manage their own workload.
- Be committed to delivering a high standard of work and customer service.
ATA accreditation is preferred, but not essential. We are happy to support the right candidate with training and professional development where required.
