Have you recently completed your A Levels and are looking for your first step into the world of finance?
We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our Finance team in Slough. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, is keen to learn and wants to develop their skills while studying towards an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification.
No previous finance experience is required – we'll provide full training and support throughout your apprenticeship.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Finance Apprentice, you'll support the Finance team while developing your knowledge and gaining hands-on experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Helping with reconciliations and other routine accounting tasks.
- Supporting basic bookkeeping by posting transactions to the accounting system.
- Preparing spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Filing and maintaining financial documents.
- Providing support to the wider Finance team during busy periods or staff absence.
- Following finance procedures, financial controls and company policies.
- Completing your AAT apprenticeship alongside your day-to-day responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has recently completed (or is due to complete) their A Levels and is interested in building a career in finance.
You'll have:
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent).
- A Levels (or equivalent), including a numerical or business-related subject such as Maths, Business or Accounting.
- Good numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work well as part of a team.
