Duties
- Develop comprehensive testing plans and procedures tailored to pipe engineering projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications
- Conduct detailed analysis of piping components, materials, and systems to identify potential defects or deviations from design requirements
- Perform inspections and tests such as pressure testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and dimensional verification to validate system integrity
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, project managers, and construction teams to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions promptly
- Maintain meticulous documentation of test results, inspection reports, and quality assurance records for audit purposes
- Analyze data collected during testing phases to identify trends or recurring issues, providing actionable insights for process improvements
- Stay updated on the latest industry standards, codes, and best practices related to pipe engineering quality assurance
Experience
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role within the pipe engineering or infrastructure sector
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test data accurately
- Familiarity with testing methods such as pressure testing, NDT techniques (ultrasound, radiography), and dimensional inspections
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes governing piping systems (e.g., ASME B31.3, API standards)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with clear communication skills to document findings effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced project environments
- A background in civil or mechanical engineering is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications are advantageous
