We are seeking a qualified, dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the development and well-being of young children. Your leadership skills will be essential in managing daily activities and ensuring effective communication with both children and parents. We are a forest school and so wellies are a must! Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery setting.
- Plan and implement engaging activities that support children's learning and development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment.
- Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and staff.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in English, to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour.
- A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young minds.
- Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of children throughout the day.
