Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Gym Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our Gym. The successful candidate will ensure that all areas, including hot rooms, changing rooms, showers, gym equipment, and communal areas, are kept spotless and sanitised. This role is vital in providing a safe and welcoming environment for our members and staff. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of gym equipment, including wiping down machines, weights, and mats with appropriate disinfectants.
- Maintain cleanliness of changing rooms, showers, toilets, and communal areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces regularly.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is stored safely and maintained in good working order.
- Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning tasks.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly to ensure a safe environment for all users.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards hygiene standards.
