We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Seasonal Lawn Care Assistant to join our team for the busy autumn scarifying season. You will work alongside our team leaders to help remove thatch and moss from local lawns. This role is highly physical, takes place entirely outdoors, and does not require a driving license, as you will travel to sites from our meeting point in company vehicles. While this starts as a seasonal contract, there is a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent, full-time role for a candidate who shows great work ethic and reliability.
- Assist Operations: Support the team leader in operating scarifiers and aerators.
- Debris Clearance: Rake, bag, moss, thatch and lawn waste into company vans.
- Lawn Care: Apply autumn fertiliser treatments, overseeding, and top-dressing materials.
- Site Tidiness: Ensure customer properties are left clean and tidy after treatments.
Requirements
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle strenuous lifting, bending, and walking all day.
- Reliability: Punctual attendance for 9:00 AM starts.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work extra hours when overtime becomes available.
- Team Player: Great attitude and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Weather Resilience: Willingness to work productively in autumn rain, wind, or cold.
- Experience: Previous outdoor manual labor experience is a plus, but not essential.
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
