As Finance Support Advisor, you'll gain valuable experience. Key Responsibilities Finance & Support
- Support Service Users to liaise with KCC's Client Financial Affairs (CFA) department and assist with the completion of relevant documentation.
- Ensure secure, auditable systems are in place where PCAS provides fully managed financial support.
- Monitor and manage financial support arrangements in line with individual KCC Care & Support Plans.
- Support Service Users to develop financial skills and budget plans that reflect their personal goals, choices, and preferences.
- Conduct financial assessments for Service Users.
- Liaise with banks, debt management agencies, and other financial organisations as required.
- Process all CFA finance request forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor available funds to ensure sufficient resources are available to meet individual expenditure requirements.
Essential
- Proven experience in book keeping, budgeting, and auditing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- High levels of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience gathering, analysing, and interpreting data.
- Confidence engaging with individuals in a variety of settings.
- Experience working with people who currently use, or have previously used, learning disability, autism, or mental health services.
- Knowledge of the DWP welfare benefits system or experience within a job centre environment.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with willingness to travel throughout Kent.
Desirable
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults with financial management.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of local authority financial support arrangements and social care funding processes.
