Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Musical Theatre Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students develop their dance skills while promoting creativity and self-expression.
This position is to teach an after-school musical theatre club at a school based in London, SE23
. This will take place on a weekly basis, term time only.
Tuesdays 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver dynamic dance classes tailored to different skill levels and age groups.
- Teach various dance styles, ensuring students understand techniques, choreography, and performance skills.
- Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that motivates students to reach their full potential.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their technique and performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dance Instructor or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in one or more dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- A background in performance is advantageous but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months or willingness to have a new one processed
