Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers, preparing a variety of food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment within the café. The ideal candidate will be proactive, friendly, and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently to ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Assist with food preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, hot food and baked goods.
- Serve customers at the counter or table, taking orders accurately and delivering excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, including sanitising surfaces and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage basic maths calculations for change.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure the café is fully equipped throughout service hours.
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards at all times.
- Support team members during busy periods by performing various tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is desirable to maintain hygiene compliance.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling cash transactions confidently.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Friendly and approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills.
