About the Role
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established structural steelwork company in the Midlands looking to add an experienced Structural Steel Fabricator Welder to their growing team. This is a permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary, stable work, and the chance to work on a variety of structural steel projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld structural steel components from engineering drawings.
- Work with beams, columns, plate work, staircases, balustrades, and other structural steelwork.
- Carry out MIG welding to a high standard.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings accurately.
- Operate workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Work effectively as part of a busy fabrication team while maintaining health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator Welder.
- Experience working on a wide range of structural steelwork projects.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant welding qualifications are desirable but not essential.
