Role Overview
We are seeking professional and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our logistics team in Scotland. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the UK, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards. Both day shift and night shift opportunities are available, offering flexibility to suit different working preferences.
Day Shift - 0600 approx starts - take home pay £650 per week (based on standard tax code
Nightshift - 1800 approx starts - take home pay £700 per week (based on standard tax code)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
- Complete scheduled deliveries and collections within agreed timescales.
- Conduct thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects promptly.
- Ensure all loads are correctly secured and transported in line with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, and associated documentation.
- Comply with UK road traffic laws, tachograph regulations, and Driver CPC requirements.
- Communicate effectively with transport planners, warehouse teams, and customers.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Follow all site-specific health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Support operational efficiency by adapting to traffic, weather, or route changes as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
- Current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous experience in HGV driving is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of UK road networks and transport legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day operation, including weekends, with various shift patterns.
