Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffees and shakes while maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth operation during busy periods. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in drinks preparation, customer service, and time management within a dynamic environment. You should be super friendly, outgoing, and love interacting with people. A passion for fitness is a big plus since this is a gym environment, and we're looking for someone who can bring positive energy to our members every day.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of beverage preparation and service.
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients or dietary options, and provide excellent customer service.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and well-stocked with supplies such as cups, lids, syrups, and other ingredients.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
- Support preparation tasks as needed and on top of stock lists.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps in delivering exceptional service.
- Strong time management skills are essential to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Good basic upselling skills and friendly customer service is essential for this role.
Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
