SENIOR HORTICULTURE TECHNOLOGIST

Requirements
- Degree (Foundation or Honours) in Horticulture, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a closely related field, including Soil Science and Plant Science modules
- Experience in plant production and/or laboratory work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Word
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing pH, EC, moisture content, and bulk density
- Quality assurance and benchmarking
- Research and development
- Conducting field visits to growers to provide technical advice
- Sampling and record keeping
- Setting up trials, collecting data, and writing reports
- Analysing products including substrates, fertilisers, and other additives
- Interpreting and analysing laboratory reports
Desirable
- PA1 and PA6 certification
- Experience with growing media (soil science)
- Strong technical knowledge
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
