Job Overview

Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of traditional Nigerian baked goods, including agege bread, pastries, and snacks, following established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food production processes adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, kneading, shaping dough, and decorating baked items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery station and kitchen area throughout shifts
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality and consistency
- Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
- Support the overall operation of the bakery by participating in menu planning and product development initiatives
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or culinary roles within a restaurant or bakery environment
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian baking traditions, recipes, and ingredients
- Excellent skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene practices in commercial kitchens
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
- Prior experience in bakery settings is highly desirable
