Via East Midlands are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Design Services team based out of our Trent Bridge House Office in West Bridgford, Nottingham.

What you'll do:
- Lead the design and delivery of highway and civil engineering projects, ensuring quality, budget, programme and stakeholder requirements are met.

Provide expert technical, design and cost advice to support the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects.

Review and approve externally designed engineering schemes, ensuring compliance with design, safety and industry standards.

Work closely with Construction and Commercial teams to drive productivity, profitability and business objectives.

Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across all projects.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, elected members and the public to support project delivery.

Represent projects and the business at professional, industry and community events, acting as a positive ambassador for the company.
What we're seeking:
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline), or equivalent experience in a highway/civil engineering design environment.

Proficient in CAD software and other engineering design and data management systems.

Strong knowledge of highway and civil engineering standards, contracts and procedures.

Understanding of health & safety, traffic management and relevant legislation within highway and civil engineering projects.

Experience working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues to achieve project goals.

Proven ability to manage project budgets and financial performance.

Experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle, from feasibility to construction.

Self-motivated with a strong commitment to customer service and leading by example.
