Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientated Seamstress to join our team in making clerical garments. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments with precision and care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for sewing to learn and contribute to creative and individual items of clothing
Responsibilities
- Sew, alter, and repair garments according to specified patterns and customer requirements
- Operate sewing machines and related equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all finished products meet quality standards and specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during work activities
Experience
- Proven sewing experience, with the ability to demonstrate craftsmanship in garment creation, alteration and hand embroidery
- Familiarity with different types of sewing machines and tools
- Ability to read patterns or instructions accurately
