- Start date: 1 September 2026
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: Part time, 27.5 hours/week (5.5 hours/day) term-time plus 2 weeks, 40 weeks/year
- Salary: Grade 4. FTE £25,583 (pro rata for part time, term time - £16,773)
Are you organised, adaptable and detail-oriented? Do you possess a calm head in a crisis and a passion for supporting young people?
We are looking for an efficient and experienced professional to join our central Admin Team in a dual-capacity role as our First Aid Lead and School Administrator. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this is the perfect opportunity for you to support the students and staff of our popular school.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for UCC, our Admin Team is the face of the school. In this role, you will be at the heart of our daily operations—balancing core administrative duties with the vital responsibility of leading our school's medical and first aid care.
You will manage the medical room, ensure health and safety compliance and provide a welcoming, efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the lead first aider, providing immediate care to pupils and staff within the school medical room with high standards of hygiene and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate, compliant records of incidents and treatments, manage and replenish medical supplies, and coordinate healthcare plans for students with long-term conditions.
- Act as a compassionate and clear liaison between parents, carers and external healthcare professionals regarding student health.
- Provide comprehensive administrative and reception support, welcoming visitors, directing communications and ensuring the school day runs smoothly.
About the Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone who can balance the administrative precision required for school records with the empathy and urgency needed for student medical care.
You will need:
- Qualifications: At least five higher passes at GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths. A valid First Aid qualification (e.g., 3-day First Aid at Work, Paediatric First Aid) is highly desirable, though full training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Skills: exceptional written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills and excellent organisational abilities.
- Experience: Previous experience in an administrative, reception or medical/first aid role is highly desirable. You must be willing to learn on the job and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
