About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced and reliable Land Survey Technician / Topographical Survey Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on surveying role working across a variety of projects in London and the surrounding areas. You’ll primarily be carrying out topographical surveys, as built surveys, working with survey control, using modern surveying equipment. ( Total Station, GPS, Lidar Scanner)
We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently or as part of a team on site, open road, understands the importance of accurate survey control and takes pride in getting the job done properly.
Responsibilities
- Carry out topographical surveys accurately and efficiently on site
- Establish and work from survey control
- Set up and operate Total Station and GPS/GNSS equipment
- Collect and check accurate survey data in accordance with the project requirements
- Carry out Topographical surveys and as-built surveys when required
- Complete site work independently or as a team and ensure all required information is captured before leaving site
- Communicate with the office team regarding site conditions, survey requirements and any issues encountered
- Work safely and professionally on a range of sites across London and surrounding areas
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience carrying out topographical surveys
- Strong understanding of survey control, coordinates, benchmarks and establishing reliable site control
- Confident using a Total Station for topographical surveying
- Good understanding of surveying principles and accurate data collection
- Full UK driving licence
- Own car and able to travel to different sites
- Comfortable working independently on site
- Reliable, professional and committed to producing accurate work
- Able to work on a self-employed basis

We’re looking for someone who already has a solid surveying background and can take responsibility for their work on site.
