The University’s School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health is the University’s academic and professional home for Nursing and the Allied Health Professions, and for all those interested in improving public health and well-being. We achieve this through our research, and by providing a portfolio of courses and other learning opportunities that are creative, inspirational and empowering, and which develop knowledge, policy and practice. Our research work within the School focuses on the improvement of nursing, health and care services, health and well-being by co-producing solutions in close collaboration with service users and other stakeholders.
We offer an exciting portfolio of nursing and allied healthcare courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels alongside internationally renowned applied research in implementation and diagnostic practice and policy. The School provides courses at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels for Nursing, Midwifery, Dental Hygiene and Therapy, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic, Speech & Language Therapy and Operating Department Practice professions. The Post registration offer includes MSc ACP, NMP, MSc Clinical Education and MSc Integrated Health and Social Care. In addition, we offer courses that reflect a Public Health perspective around health promotion, mental health and global public health. The Role

As part of our continued growth in postgraduate healthcare education, we are seeking an exceptional Senior Lecturer/ Principal Lecturer in Advanced Practice to provide academic leadership and strategic direction within our Advanced Practice portfolio.
The postholder will play a key role in leading the development, delivery and enhancement of the MSc Advanced Practice course and associated Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provision. Working closely with healthcare partners, Integrated Care Systems, NHS Trusts, professional bodies and academic colleagues, the Senior/Principal Lecturer will contribute to the preparation and development of a highly skilled Advanced Practice workforce.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience in Advanced Practice, academic leadership and healthcare education, with expertise across one or more areas of advanced practice. Applicants holding a Non-Medical Prescribing qualification are particularly welcomed. The postholder will demonstrate leadership across the four pillars of Advanced Clinical Practice: Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education, and Research.
How will you work?
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible and this role is flexible and connected(Academic & Student Facing) Campus attendance will vary on a day-to-day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to the service being delivered and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
