General Aviation Light Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Bournemouth Airport
We are a busy and growing light aircraft maintenance facility based at Bournemouth Airport and are looking for an experienced Light Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
This is a hands on role working across a varied range of General Aviation aircraft, with day to day work including scheduled maintenance, inspections, defect rectification, fault finding and troubleshooting.
You will work alongside and under the guidance of our certifying engineers, so we are looking for someone who is confident in their abilities, takes pride in their work and can work both independently and as part of a busy team.
The successful applicant must have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in General Aviation aircraft maintenance
- Good practical experience working on Piper and Cessna aircraft as a minimum
- Good fault finding and troubleshooting skills
- The ability to carry out maintenance to a consistently high standard
- A good understanding of the importance of accurate aircraft maintenance documentation
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail
- The ability to follow instructions and maintenance data correctly
- The confidence to work independently when required
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast paced maintenance environment
- Good organisation and communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close knit team
We are a busy GA maintenance company with a varied workload, so no two days are quite the same. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys light aircraft maintenance, is hard working and takes pride in doing the job properly.
Salary is dependent on experience
Full time position based at Bournemouth Airport.
