Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Contracts Manager to oversee our mechanical works from inception to completion. Based in the Macclesfield area of cheshire, this role is vital in ensuring our projects meet quality standards, deadlines, and client expectations while aligning with our company's mission of sustainable growth and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Surveying & estimating of small works (planned and reactive) and ppm contracts.
- Leading the team of employed engineers including direct line management, performance management, mentoring and development of the team.
- Be responsible for the management of labour resources, along with the office team, on multiple sites to ensure project completion on time and within budget, including management of sub-contractors.
- Liaising with the office team to schedule workload for service and reactive works
- Ensure service calls and small works projects are managed efficiently and delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality & regulative standards
- Provide clients with advice to ensure ongoing safety and efficiency of their systems
- Leading and improving the health and safety and compliance processes including undertaking regular site safety inspections, ensuring best practices are embedded throughout the company.
- Ensure implementation and compliance within gas policies and procedures including supporting the company with NICEIC/Gas Safe/OFTEC inspections
- Building relationships with new and existing clients to grow the turnover of the small works department
- Working closely with the Electrical Services Manager to successfully deliver joint projects and cross selling of services
- Support the wider business with technical knowledge.
- Training of the administration staff to understand the technical requirements of the jobs so to become more efficient in handling customer and engineer requirements.
What We're Looking For:
- Recognised industry qualifications and a proven track record in Mechanical services.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical systems and regulations.
- Strong communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel.

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
