Duties
- Remove damaged panels, parts, and components using hand tools and power tools with accuracy and safety.
- Prepare vehicles for repairs by carefully stripping and disassembling as needed.
- Fit and align replacement parts, ensuring proper fitment and finish according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks, utilizing proper techniques and equipment to handle large or awkward parts safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools are properly stored and equipment is in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Collaborate with other technicians to complete vehicle repairs efficiently and to high-quality standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand vehicle structures and repair processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, pry bars, etc., for removal and installation tasks.
- Experience with power tools like drills, grinders, or pneumatic tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise fitting of parts and quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills to work effectively within a team environment.
