Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team within our Mill area as a CNC Machine Operative becoming a vital part of our family. In these roles, you will operate, monitor, and maintain CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines (Saw - Drill - Edgebander) to ensure high-quality output. Your expertise will contribute to efficient production processes, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and technical skills to deliver exceptional results. These positions offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and safety are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Machine Setup: Set up the machines, adjustments based on job specifications. This would include tool changing and their set up. No machine programming required, you load the preprogram based on the job requirements as stated on the job cards.
- Operation: Board loading to the saw is done automatically. Operator required to manipulate sheets on saw bed. Manually load panels on to the drilling and edgeband machines, unload finished panels to the roller track.
- Quality Control: Inspect cut materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, adjusting as necessary to maintain accuracy and cut finish.
- Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubricating components as needed; report any malfunctions or issues to the maintenance team, via their app.
- Safety Protocols: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Cleanliness: You work area should be always kept clean and tidy.
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills in tooling, hand tools, and power tools.
- Basic math skills for measuring parts accurately and calculating dimensions or tolerances.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to machine operation and handling of mechanical equipment.
- Prior experience working with assembly processes or in environments requiring attention to detail will be advantageous.

Pay: £13.56-£13.93 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
