Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Manager - Till and Customer Service to oversee daily operations within our retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing till operations efficiently. Duties
- Lead and supervise the till and customer service team to deliver exceptional service standards.
- Oversee till operations, including cash handling, balancing tills, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Manage daily store activities, ensuring smooth functioning of all processes.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Maintain effective communication with staff regarding policies, promotions, and operational updates.
- Organise staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
Experience
- Proven management experience within retail or customer service environments.
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment.
- Experience in retail management or similar roles involving team management, organisational skills, and customer service excellence is essential.
