We are seeking a talented and passionate Italian Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations
- Manage food production processes, maintaining high quality and consistency across all dishes
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health and hygiene regulations
- Lead the team during service hours, coordinating tasks efficiently to meet customer demands
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Train new staff members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction
Experience
- Proven experience in restaurant kitchens specialising in Italian cuisine or similar culinary environments
- Supervising experience within a busy kitchen setting is highly desirable
- Strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Familiarity with hospitality operations, including serving procedures and customer interaction
- Previous experience in food preparation, culinary arts, or kitchen management roles is essential
- Knowledge of restaurant workflows and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
