Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Estate / Building Facility Manager with at least two years of experience to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and management of residential, commercial and mixed use properties. The successful candidate will ensure the estates are safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained while coordinating vendors, supervising staff, and delivering excellent service to residents or commercial tenants.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the estates or buildings.
- Supervise maintenance personnel and contractors.
- Schedule and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, elevators, generators, and fire safety equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to resident or tenant complaints and maintenance requests.
- Monitor and manage facility service contracts and vendor performance.
- Prepare maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and operational records.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring facility maintenance and service charge budgets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and local building regulations.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and ensure emergency equipment is functional.
- Monitor utility usage and recommend cost-saving and energy-efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Organise waste management, landscaping, and general estate upkeep.
- Ensure all common areas are clean, secure, and well-maintained.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Facilities Management, Estate Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in estate, property, or facilities management.
- Knowledge of building maintenance systems and facility operations.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience working with contractors and service providers.

Working Conditions
- Primarily based at our Group Head Office with regular site visits as required.

Employment Package
Salary
- £35,000–£40,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus Company Car
