Starting September 2026 - 1 Year Fixed Contract - 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
We are seeking to recruit a Science Technician to support the Science Department Team in the provision of timely and effective support for students and staff. The successful candidate will undertake the following tasks:
- perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations;
- carry out routine tasks accurately and to carry out analyses;
- prepare samples and solutions;
- construct, maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, for example ensure the laboratory is well-stocked, resourced and tidy;
- keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability;
- keeping up to date with Health and Safety requirements
- following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks are adhered to.
