Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV 2 driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, primarily utilising class 2 lorries for various delivery routes. Duties
Early starts 01.30 per shift. This is a multi-drop delivery job which could be upto 24 deliveries in your designated area.
- Operate HGV 2 lorries in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
- Deliver goods to designated locations efficiently and on schedule
- Secure loads properly using appropriate straps and equipment to ensure safety during transit
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines throughout all operations
Skills
- Valid HGV 2 licence with proven experience in commercial driving
- Experience with vehicles and securing loads effectively
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during routes
