We are recruiting for the exciting role of Food & Beverage Assistant, who will support with the running of our busy front of house operations in the Restaurant within our Garden Centre.

Founded in 1871, today Garsons is an award-winning destination Garden Centre, Farm Shop and Restaurant with locations in Esher, Surrey and Titchfield, Hampshire. Garsons Esher is also home to one of the UK's largest pick-your-own farms.
What does the role involve?
We are seeking high-energy team players who thrive in a buzzing, fast-paced environment. Serving up to 350 covers, our restaurant is always alive with activity, so you’ll need to think on your feet and keep things moving. From confidently taking and delivering food and drink orders to clearing tables and keeping service flowing, you’ll play a key role in the guest experience. With your positive attitude and natural flair for customer service, you’ll create memorable moments for our guests and turn busy service into great hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring guests receive and are served high quality food and drinks.
- Clearing of tables, when needed.
- Operating our tills and providing friendly and efficient customer service.
- Greeting customers, providing food and drink promptly, handling payments.
- Ensuring cleanliness and safety within the restaurant.
- Performing tasks related to food and preparation, customer service and general restaurant operations.
What skills and experience do you need?
- Previous experience as a Food and Beverage Assistant or similar role.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and card transactions.
- Good physical condition, able to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays.
- Relevant training certificates or diplomas are desirable but not essential.
- Flexible working pattern.
Contract: This is a permanent, part-time role.
Salary: From £10.89 to £12.73 per hour.
Hours: Working hours and shift pattern to be confirmed via a rota-basis. Will include weekday and weekend working.
