You will work closely with clients to deliver tailored assistance that meets their unique needs, fostering trust and positive relationships every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance their quality of life
- Support clients in adhering to their personalized care plans, ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Use IT tools and electronic records to document care activities accurately and update progress regularly
- Assist with client's medication
- Promote independence by encouraging clients’ participation in daily routines while respecting their preferences
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or working within a care environment such as a care home is highly desirable
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in English for effective communication with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic documentation and communication tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey information clearly
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to home care settings is advantageous
