The role will be to support young people.

Salary: £14.00 per hour, £50 sleep in rate
Based on 173 hours per month contracted
Additional up to 10 sleep ins per month
Location: CW2 Crewe, Cheshire East
Hours: 40 hours per week / 173 hours per month
Up to 10 (24.5 hour) shifts per month
Shift pattern: (1 on 2 off or 2 on 4 off – working on average 10 shifts per month on a rota basis)
Contract: Full Time Permanent Role
Driver: Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full UK driver's licence

Role of a Independence Support Worker:
· To encourage the young people to do activities and take responsibility for their own lives depending on their age.
· To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the home.
· To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed.
· Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
· Provide support for the children and young people in the home and to promote their independence and well-being.
· Maintain a safe environment for young people.
· Ensuring the safety of the young people
· maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the individual's; care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication.
· Supporting young people’s behaviour safely and sympathetically.
· Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff, parents, Social Workers and other professionals that may be involved in the young people's lives
Requirements:
· Experience as a Support Worker, or working with Young People is desirable
· Experience within another healthcare or social care setting is desirable.
· You must hold UK full driver licence & be a driver as you will be required to transport young people.
· NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
· You must be able to commute to Crewe/Cheshire East Area
