Support Worker
Contract: 1 x 21 Hour Contract on wake Nights 22:00 – 08:30 (Monday–Sunday)
Pay rate: £15 per hour (weekly or monthly pay available)
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a young girl in Kidderminster with behavioural needs and childhood-onset epilepsy.
In this waking night role, you will build a positive and trusting relationship, support emotional wellbeing and independence, monitor and respond to seizure activity, and provide reassurance throughout the night. You will also assist with morning routines, helping her feel settled and prepared for the day ahead. Working closely with her family, you will use calm, therapeutic approaches to support her needs and help maintain a safe, supportive, and nurturing home environment.
Experience and Skills of a Support Worker:

Experience supporting individuals with epilepsy, behavioural needs, learning disabilities, autism, or complex care needs would be advantageous.

A calm, patient, and compassionate approach, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships.

Confidence in managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support and therapeutic approaches.

Ability to remain alert, attentive, and responsive during waking night shifts.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals.

A reliable, flexible, and professional attitude.

Good observation and reporting skills to accurately record and communicate changes or concerns.

A commitment to promoting independence, dignity, choice, and person-centred support.
