An excellent opportunity has arisen for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse & On-Site Labourer to join a well-established and growing business based in Redditch.
This is a varied role, split approximately 70% on-site labour and 30% depot-based warehouse duties. The successful candidate will support engineers on-site with manual tasks, equipment positioning and site preparation, while also helping to keep the depot organised and stock accurate.
This is a reactive role, so flexibility is essential. You may be required to travel to sites at short notice, including journeys of up to 2 hours each way, and must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
The RoleOn-Site Labour – 70%
- Supporting engineers on-site with general manual labour duties.
- Laying and handling 25–30kg hoses.
- Setting up and dismantling Heras fencing.
- Assisting with the positioning of equipment.
- Coordinating with transport companies to ensure equipment is positioned correctly.
- Working closely with engineers and other site personnel.
- Responding to reactive work and being available to travel at short notice.
- Working safely and effectively in all weather conditions.
- Carrying out manual handling tasks as required.
Depot / Warehouse – 30%
- Carrying out regular stock takes and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Picking orders accurately and preparing equipment for site.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and well organised.
- Moving and organising stock and equipment.
- Ensuring equipment is ready and available when required.
- Identifying issues and proactively suggesting solutions to improve the operation.
- Supporting general depot and warehouse duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Valid forklift licence – Essential.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual work.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Flexible and able to respond to reactive work at short notice.
- Comfortable with travelling for work, including journeys of up to 2 hours each way.
- Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in.
- Strong communication skills and able to work well alongside engineers and other teams.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and use initiative to solve problems.
- Previous warehouse, labouring, construction or engineering support experience would be advantageous.
Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 1-hour unpaid lunch break
- Overtime available
- Flexibility required due to the reactive nature of the role
